Visiting the Club Guests and visitors are always welcome (see diary of "Regular Events") except on Teams and Trophy nights(check diary of "Special Events" before you come). If in doubt, before visiting or inviting a guest, please check with: If you do not have a partner then it can still be possible to play because the club has a "Partnership Desk" on Monday + Wednesday and a "Duty Officer " on Thursday. Please check availability with the following: Thursday - Trevor Bowles 01707 659408 Tuesday evening is for beginners and improvers only. Whilst we welcome visitors who are newcomers to bridge, we discourage more experienced players. Only simple ' old fashioned Acol' to level 1 may be played. If you wish to visit and do not have a partner then please ring: The club plays at Gosling Sports Park, Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City, Herts.. AL8 6XE(see below for location). Non-members are welcome to attend at most sessions but must pay the visitor's fee of £1-60 at the Sports Park and table money visitor's fee of £3 to the bridge club. If you decide to join the Bridge Club (£3 per year) then you must also be a member of Gosling Sports Park (£42 for adults, £21 concession per year). In addition table money is payable at each session (normally £2 but may be slightly higher for special events). |
